Alan Friel is an award winning director who has a passion for advertising:

‘It seems that I enjoy the things that people say you should avoid - food, kids, animals and on a number of occasions I’ve found myself directing all three at once!’

With an early career as a fine artist, he brings an evocative aesthetic to his food styling, while his background in drama enhances his skill in capturing natural performances from actors and everyday people alike. His work with pets has taken him across the globe, where he's mastered various techniques to coax engaging performances from cats and dogs in diverse settings.

Having worked for some of the best production companies in London he is now a freelance director.
